出品者コメントFully play tested.Both sides play well with good sound quality. See details below. I use the Goldmine record grading system with comments. A 78rpm record from 1915 is visually graded the same way as an LP record from 2015. Most of the grade comes from physical appearance but the play-test can be a factor. I always describe how a 78 sounds to me. Since record surface noise is practically inevitable with 78s I tolerate more of that for 78s than for LPs when assigning a final grade. A VG+ grade for a 78 is a very high grade and a VG grade is still decent! You can be sure that a G+ record won't look so good, but it might very well play very nicely. Read my descriptive comments and listen to sound samples if provided.

A pair of patriotic WWI songs. One side advocates for sending tobacco to the Yankee soldiers. Record Condition (For the Eyes): I graded the record VG. The disc has moderate shine but there are a lot of scuffs and scratches. Record Condition (For the Ears): Plays with no skips or sticks. General background record surface noise crackle is moderate and there are occasional clicks heard. It's a satisfying listen with good quality sound. (I play-test on a Newcomb school-style phonograph with a 3 mil stylus.) Sound Sample: I've uploaded a video sound sample. You might have to view it on a computer (might not show up on a phone). There can be a delay of up to several days between the time I upload a video and the time ebay makes it available to view. Labels Condition: Some wear can be seen on the labels but I think they still look pretty good. There are no stickers, tape, writing or other label defacements present. Sleeve Type and Condition: Housed in a Bags Unlimited gold kraft-paper sleeve in excellent condition but with some blotted out old, irrelevant notes. Please see the photos for more info and a look at condition. A word on costs for safely shipping shellac 78 RPM records: They are fragile and easily breakable. (You know that!) If shipped in packaging that would be perfectly safe for a vinyl record, the chance of breakage is pretty good. I pack shellac 78's in an oversize box. The record is sandwiched between custom corrugated cardboard pads. The padded record is wrapped in bubble wrap for shock absorption. The whole bundle is surrounded by other padding such as wadded newspaper, packing peanuts and/or air pillows for a safe journey through the postal system. Proper packing materials cost me well over $4.00 per package and the costs keep going up. Add about $5.00 or more for USA media mail postage and you can see that the amount I ask you to pay for shipping is less than what it actually costs to ship a record.
